Goatherd Couple

This documentary shows the way of life of a couple dedicated to grazing goats during the last 30 years. It tell us their daily routines, ranging from field work, the care of the animals and pasturing itself. It goes deep into this way of life, it goes beyond the superficial relationships, deepening the analysis of the relationship between the shepherds and animals for over 8 months. It is a portrait of deep and rural Portugal, of one of the last examples of people who dedicate their lives to animals and nature. The grazing / transhumance is practised in such rare situations and tend to its rapid and abrupt disappearance. The author concern is to explore the profound way of life of being in a constant relationship with nature taking her whole livelihood, over several decades.
